Language Matters is the official Newsletter of CLC founded in Fall 2002. It has four sections and serves the following purposes:

LEARNING: a student corner for learners of Chinese to share their experience and concerns; 
TEACHING: a platform for teachers at CLC and other similar institutions to share their views; 
RESEARCH: a corner to share and discuss about language and culture;
ACTIVITIES & NEWS: a bulletin board to publicize CLC activities and related news in the field of                                            teaching Chinese as a foreign/ second language.

Language Matters(LM) is published regularly 3 times a year. Submissions for publication are welcome from all CLC teachers, students and alumni, as well as those who are involved with either teaching or learning Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese). 

Notes for submission:
1. Language  : Either in English or in Chinese
2. Length       : Between 300 to 500 words, no longer than 800 words in any case
3. Focus        : Should be related to either learning or teaching Chinese, including cultural aspects of language learning

LM is distributed to about 2000 programmes and individuals in the field of teaching Chinese as a Second or Foreign Language, both local and international, in either electronic or printed form.
